Unguiculariopsis on Gibberella stromata
Enrique Rubio,

I'd like to know your opinion about this Unguiculariospsis species that grew on very old stromata of Gibberella baccata f. sp. moricola on still attached branches of Morus nigra.
The perfectly roundish ascospores, relatively long 8-spored asci IKI negative (-), with croziers and the paraphyses longer than the asci say me that this fungus is close to Unguiculariosis ravenellii subsp. hamata but I have seen any Rhytidhysteron under the ascomata.
Have you any idea for help me?
Thanks again

Yes, spore size fits best U. hamata. About the variations distinguished within this species I do not know, I have only seen those with Rhytidhysteron.
