Imperfect ? on wood
Ethan Crenson, 06-05-2019 19:45
I found this group of tiny black sphaeroid fruiting bodies growing on wood.  There are hyaline hair-like structures on the surface.  I am not certain if I am dealing with a single organism based on what I found microscopically.  There are multiseptate brown spores that seem to cluster together in groups, though I do not see any distinct asci.  There are also hyaline structures that seem like conidiophores.  Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hello,

the conidia look like Cryptocoryneum (Hashimoto et al, 2016).

Best regards,

Thank you Viktorie. That seems like a good lead.  Do you happen to have Hashimoto et al, 2016 as a PDF?
