Hello,Found by Laurens van der Linde, nov. 2019, The Netherlands, on stems of Alchemilla spec. (family Rosaceae).
In the material I got, I only found 2 perithecia with rather long necks (teleomorph), almost all the black spots I tried where anamorph.
In the end I tried some little black spots ....... luckily the teleomorph (with short necks).
- asci with 8 ascospores
- perithecial necks central
- ascospores lacking appendages
- ascospores 1-septate, submedian
- perithecia about 375 µm
- asci: 28-6-37.6 x 4.3-5.7 µm
- ascospores: 8.6-10.0 x 2.9-2.9 µm
Greeting,
Riet

Re : Gnomoniopsis?
Hi Riet,
Yes, you're right. Probably G. comari s.l. (cf Monod). You can check in Systematics of genus Gnomoniopsis / Walker & al. (Mycologia, 2010). They established that Gnomoniopsis are generally host specific. Especially several species occur on Rosaceae. But no one on Alchemilla has been sequenced. So ...
Best wishes,
Alain
