This rare species, with two interascal elements, no apiculate and finely verruculose/subreticulate cianofilic ascospores, shows an hymenium with a strongly IKI reaction that stains blue/purple the apical part of the more diferenciate paraphyses and the gelatinous coat of the fresh ejected ascospores.
