On Pseudombrophila ripensis

Dear all.
I have studied several collections of Pseudombrophila ripensis and have never been able to observe any sclerotia from which apothecia originate. However, it has been described by numerous authors, including E.C. Hansen. I would like to know what your experience is on this matter.
