Rare beer keg shape spores. Specimen taken from a wallpaper underside.
Wilhelm Guggisberg, 31-07-2021 23:33
Wilhelm GuggisbergThis 20 um, barreled shape, beer keg-like ascospore is novel to me. From a Miami Beach environmental indoor swab surface sample taken from a wallpaper underside.
(You can guess the approximate size comparing it with the adjacent Chaetomium spp.)

Hi reminiscent of Bispora antennata, but conidial measurement too big.

Regards

Thank you so much. I was thinking also it could be Curvularia eragrostidis with the tips off, the source site was likely cleaned with bleach, this might be the responsible for the tip's retraction.
